Support WAW through ABC Home and Planet

Dear WAW Supporter:

Last month you received the letter we send out annually to inform supporters of our recent accomplishments and to request a contribution. Many of you have responded generously, and for this we want to send our heartfelt thanks. We are writing today to suggest an additional way for you to support our organization.

ABC Home and Planet, a socially responsible foundation created by ABC Carpet and Home, has developed a program that connects customers to “visionary groups that are changing the world.” We are proud to say that Women for Afghan Women has been chosen as one of those groups for the second year.

Rather than explain the program in this letter, we suggest that you take a few minutes to look at the website: http://www.abchomeandplanet.org.   It explains the philosophy that inspired this project and will show you how you can give “gifts of compassion” to organizations of your choice. And you can give these gifts in honor of special people in your lives. ABC will send your honorees a lovely card that explains what you have given in their name and describes the particular organization(s) you selected to receive your gift. The card comes in a beautiful little bag made of Indian silk.

If you have people in your lives who would appreciate this gesture more than a material token of your affection, we recommend this alternative way of celebrating—these holidays or other important events. And once again, thank you for your continued support.
