Women for Afghan Women is a grassroots organization made up entirely of volunteer members whose time and wide variety of skills are crucial to the continuation of WAW's mission. Volunteers contribute in many ways including:Teaching ESL classes in Queens, event planning/coordination, fundraising, writing and editing projects, p.r. and advocacy, database and website related tasks, and other administrative tasks.

5. Host a WAW Event in Your Neighborhood
Host fundraisers for Women for Afghan Women in your neighborhood. Your donations will go directly to help Afghan widows and children. Contact office@womenforafghanwomen.org if you would like us to send you materials and a dvd of our work, in order to make your fundraiser a successful and special event.

7. ABC Home and Planet Foundation
WAW is one of a select number of non-profit organizations chosen by ABC Carpet Foundation (MISSIONmarket) to be a recipient of its new program for social responsibility. We have already received $19,000 for our Afghan Women's Fund through this program.
