Welcome to our fifth e-newsletter. You will read profiles of two women whose lives have been transformed thanks to their own courage and WAW's work: Nadia in Queens and Qandi Gul in Kabul. This issue is packed with program updates from the Family Guidance Centers and Children's Support Center in Afghanistan and also our Queens Community Center in Fresh Meadows, NY.

Qandi Gul's story of abuse is all too common. The story of how she got justice through mediation at one of WAW's Family Guidance Centers is not. Click here to read Qandi Gul's story.

QUEENS: Nadia's Story
Deceived, betrayed, and thrown out of her home, Nadia thought she had nowhere to turn. The staff at WAW's Queens Community Center were there for her with logistical resources and human comfort. Click here to read Nadia's story.
