Financial Info
Women for Afghan Women is funded by government and non-government agencies in the U.S. and Europe as well as by thousands of individual donors. These funders regularly visit our facilities to verify our reports. Our financial system is transparent and open to anyone—agency or individual—who wishes access to it. We welcome this close attention. Based on their monitoring, many donors have renewed funding or funded us for several years at a time. Our funders and donors recognize that our work is crucial and that without their support it would not be possible. They know that countries that violate the human rights of women and girls are prey to anti-democratic, destabilizing influences. Local NGOs like WAW, which are committed to ensuring those rights, have made remarkable progress against overwhelming odds. We are confident that support will continue. The board and leadership of WAW is grateful that our funders and supporters put their trust in us. We take that trust seriously.
