VOLUNTEER WITH WAW
WAW relies upon a diverse batallion of volunteer members whose time and wide variety of skills are crucial to the continuation of WAW's mission. Volunteers contribute in many ways both locally and from afar by helping with event planning/coordination, fundraising, writing and editing projects, PR and advocacy, administrative tasks, and teaching ESL classes in Queens.
See below for job descriptions of some of our current needs.
CASE WORKER- WAW NY:

Maintain accurate case specific documentation on clients. Must be fluent in either Dari, Pashto or Urdu as well as English. Due to the nature of this volunteer opportunity we are only able to accept female volunteers.
TUTORS- WAW NY:

TEACHERS- WAW NY:

Use your professional experience as an ESL Teacher or TESOL student to teach and develop lesson planning techniques and applications for pre-literate women. These classes are part of the WAW legacy and often how clients first encounter our organization. Due to the nature of this volunteer opportunity we are only able to accept female volunteers.
Sign on to our Volunteer list and let our volunteer coordinator (also a volunteer!) contact you to see how your contributions and skills can best match WAW's needs.
